First Innings Summary :
Batting first, KKR started a bit slow in their innings, losing in form Phil Salt early. Avesh Khan took a stunning catch to dismiss Salt. From there Sunil Narine & young Raghuvanshi took charge. Both built a partnership of 85 runs. Sunil Narine was outstanding with the bat, scoring 109 runs off just 56 balls. With the ton, Narine becomes only the 3rd batsman in KKR history to hit a century after Brandon McCullum and Venkatesh Iyer. With Rinku Singh making 20 off 9 balls, KKR reached a total of 223-6. Avesh Khan & Kuldeep Sen both took 2 wickets each for Rajasthan Royals.
Second Innings Summary :
Rajasthan Royals needed 224 runs in 20 overs. RR got to a flying start with Buttler & Jaiswal. Losing 2 wickets of Jaiswal and Sanju Samson, RR put 76 runs on board in mandatory 6 overs of powerplay. KKR managed to pick wickets in regular intervals, but the heroics of Buttler took the match away from KKR. A magnificent innings of 110 runs off 59 balls from him, single-handedly won the match for Rajasthan Royals. Narine, Varun & Harshit all picked up 2 wickets each. With the win, RR secures their top position in the league table with 12 points from 7 matches.
Jos Buttler was named Man of the Match for his match-winning knock of 110(59).
