First Innings Summary :

Mumbai Indians were put into bat first by PBKS and lost Inshan Kishan early in the innings. But after the early loss, Rohit & Surya put up a good partnership of 81 runs. Inform Rohit Sharma scored 36 off 25. Tilak Verma scored 34 off just 18 balls, with a strike rate of over 188. The standout performer with the bat was Suryakumar Yadav, who managed to score 78 runs off 53 balls. With the ball Harshal Patel picked 3 wickets, Sam Curran got 2 and Kagiso Rabada 1 wicket. With the combined efforts, Mumbai Indians reached a total of 192.

Second Innings Summary :

With 193 runs target on the board, Punjab Kings had a tough task ahead of them. Mumbai Indians started brilliantly with the ball. Gerald Coetzee & Jasprit Bumrah picked 4 wickets combined in the first 3 overs & broke Punjab Kings backbone. PBKS were down to 14-4 in just 2.1 overs. From there the run chase became harder. Inform Shashank Singh & Ashutosh Sharma tried to pull things back and build a partnership, but that didn’t happen as Bumrah picked Shashank when he was playing on 41 runs. PBKS were almost out of the match when Ashutosh brought Punjab back into the game. His power-hitting almost won the match. Ashutosh made a brilliant 61 runs off just 28 balls before Coetzee got him out in the 18th over. PBKS were all-out for 183. Coetzee and Bumrah picked 3 wickets each. Akash, Hardik & Gopal picked 1 each. 

Jasprit Bumrah was named Man of the Match for his match-winning spell 3-32.
