First Innings Summary :
Delhi Capitals won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. RCB started off to a flyer with Virat Kohli taking charge of scoring quickly. But DC made a quick comeback and dismissed RCB’s both the openers. First DC picked Faf du Plessis for just 6 runs. Then Kohli also lost his wicket scoring 27 off 13 balls. After that, Rajat Patidar & Will Jacks built a much-needed partnership. Both added 88 runs. Rajat Patidar scored 52 off 32. Will Jacks scored 41 off 29. Chris Green scored 32 off 24 balls. RCB was looking well to score a big total but DC came back strongly. Picked up some quick wickets to restrict RCB to a decent score. RCB posted a total of 187 losing 9 wickets. Khaleel & Rashik Dar picked 2 wickets each. Ishant, Kuldeep & Mukesh Kumar picked 1 wicket each.
Second Innings Summary :
Delhi Capitals needed 188 runs to chase down in 20 overs to stay in the race for the playoffs. RCB bowlers were on top with the ball since the start. Picked Warner in the very first over. Then picked Abhishek Porel in the 3rd over. Jake Fraser-McGruk was hitting the balls out of the park but got run out very unluckily. Jake scored 21 off 8 balls. Delhi scored 54 runs in the power play but lost 4 wickets. Shai Hope & Axar Patel had a decent partnership of 56 runs. Hope scored 29 off 23 balls. Delhi’s middle order also failed like their top order. Axar played a captain innings, scoring 57 off 39 balls but he didn’t get that support to cross the winning line. In reply to 187 runs, Delhi Capitals could only reach a total of 140 losing all wickets. Yash Dayal picked 3 wickets, and Lockie Ferguson picked 2 wickets. Swapnil Singh, Mohemmad Siraj & Cameron Green picked 1 wicket each. RCB won the match by 47 runs and they are still in the race for the playoffs.
Cameron Green was named Player of the Match for his 32*(24) & 1-19(4).
