Toss: Punjab Kings won the toss & decided to Bat. 

First Innings Summary :

Punjab Kings decided to bat first after winning the toss. They had a brilliant start with the bat. Look dominant. Scored 61 runs in the power play. PBKS had an opening stand of 97 runs. Atharva Taide was the first one to get dismissed after scoring 46 off 27 balls. Prabhsimran Singh & Rossouw also played a good partnership of 54 runs. Prabhsimran got out scoring 71 runs off 45 balls. Rossouw missed his half-century by 1 run as he got dismissed for 49 runs off just 24 balls. PBKS’s top order was to notch but the middle order failed to make an impact. SRH took a few quick wickets to make a comeback in the game. Captain Jitesh Sharma played a good cameo of 32 runs in 15 balls to reach a score of 214 runs. For SRH T. Natarajan picked 2 wickets. Cummins & Viyaskanth picked 1 wicket each. 

Second Innings Summary :

Sunrisers Hyderabad needed 215 runs to chase down to give themselves a chance to finish in the top 2 position. SRH got a huge blow as in forn Travis Gead was dismissed in the very first ball of the 2nd innings. Abhishek Sharma did the same work he has been doing this season. He & Rahul Tripathi built a solid partnership of 72 runs, which gave SRH the platform to chase down the total. Tripathi got out scoring 33 off 18 balls. SRH scored 84 runs in the power play overs losing 2 wickets. Abhishek Sharma was outstanding once again as he scored 66 runs off just 28 balls. Nitish Reddy & Henrich Klassen also had a good partnership of 47 runs. Reddy scored 37 off 25. Klassen scored 42 runs off 26 balls. SRH batters outplayed Punjab Kings bowlers. SRH won the match by 5 wickets. Arshdeep Singh & Harshal Patel picked 2 wickets each. Harpreet Brar & Shashank Singh got 1 wicket each. As SRH won the match, now if Rajasthan Royals doesn’t win against KKR, SRH will play the first qualifier against KKR. 

Abhishek Sharma was named Player of the Match for his 66(28).
