Match Summary :
The final match of the group stage was set to be played between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. Due to continuous rain toss was delayed. But once the toss was done for a 7-over match, rain made a comeback to the ground and the match was washed out. This was the 3rd match of this season that got washed out without a ball being bowled. As the match was washed out, both the teams shared the points.
So as things stand, RR and SRH do have the same points (17 points from 14 matches) but SRH has a better Net Run Rate. So they have secured the 2nd position in the league table. Now in the playoffs, Kolkata Knight Riders will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first qualifier. And Rajasthan Royal will play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first eliminator of the season.
