First Innings Summary :
Rajasthan Royals won the toss and invited Royal Challengers Bengaluru to bat first. RCB got to a good start with Virat Kohli & captain Faf du Plessis. Both added 37 runs for the first wicket. Faf got out in the 5th over of the power play scoring 17 off 14 balls. RCB scored 50 runs in the power play losing just 1 wicket. Kohli got out scoring 33 off 24 balls. Chris Green & Rajat Patidar were looking in good touch. Both added 41 runs in a crucial partnership but couldn’t make it a big one. Rajasthan Royals picked up quick wickets in the middle overs. Green was dismissed for 27 runs in 21 balls. Patidar got out scoring 34 runs off 22 balls. Dinesh Karthik & Mahipal Lomror added 32 runs in a partnership. With Lomror scoring 32 runs off just 17 balls, RCS posted a total of 172 for 8 wickets. For RR, Avesh Khan picked up 3 wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 2 wickets. Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma & Yuzi Chahal picked 1 wicket each.
Second Innings Summary :
Rajasthan Royals needed 173 runs in 20 overs to qualify for the Qualifier 2 against SRH. Rajasthan got to a good start with two openers Yashasvi Jaiswal & Kohler-Cadmore. Both added 46 runs for the opening partnership. RCB were sloppy in the fielding. Kohler-Cadmore scored 20 off 15 balls before he was dismissed by Ferguson. RR scored 47 runs in the power play losing 1 wicket. Jaiswas & Sanju Samson were looking very dangerous as both added 35 runs together. Both were looking to take the game away but RCB made a good comeback. Picked both Jaiswal & Samson in back-to-back overs. Jaiswal scored 45 off 30 balls. Sanju scored 17 off 13. Dhruv Jurel & Riyan Parag seemed to build a partnership but Jurel was unfortunately run out by a brilliant throw from Virat Kohli. Riyan Parag & Shimron Hetmyer built a match-winning partnership of 45 runs. Parag scored 36 runs in 26 balls. Hetmyer scored at 26(14) & Rovman Powell scored 16*(8). Rajasthan Royals won the match 4 wickets & will play the Qualifier 2. Mohammed Siraj took 2 wickets. Ferguson, Green & Karn Sharma picked 1 each.
Avesh Khan was named Player of the Match for his 3-44(4).
