First Innings Summary: Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t get an ideal start as they lost both Travis Head and Aiden Markram early in the innings to Arshdeep’s spell in the 3rd over of the match. However, Nitish Reddy emerged as the star performer, playing a classy inning of 64 off just 37 balls. Additionally, Abdul Samad played a cameo, scoring 25 runs from just 12 balls, which provided a crucial boost to SRH’s innings. Despite the setbacks at the start of the innings, SRH managed to post a competitive total of 182 runs in 20 overs.
Second Innings Summary: Punjab Kings struggled in their chase from the start, losing wickets of Captain Sikhar Dhawan (14 off 16), Jonny Bairstow (0 off 3), Prabhsimran (4 off 6) and finding themselves at 20-3. However, a partnership between Sikandar Raza and Sam Curran steadied the innings, adding 38 runs off 27 balls. In the latter part of the innings, Shashank Singh, who was the Man of the Match in the previous match against the Gujrat Titans, displayed brilliance with a quickfire 46 off just 25 balls. Ashutosh Sharma also contributed with a good, fiery innings, scoring 33 runs off 15 balls. Despite their collaborative efforts, Punjab Kings fell short by just 2 runs.
