First Innings Summary :
Gujarat Titans were asked to bat first by RCB. GT batters were below average from the start. RCB bowlers dominated the whole 6 overs of power play. GT could only score 23 runs losing 3 wickets. David Miller & Shahrukh Khan did build a partnership of 61 runs, but that wasn’t enough to go past the par score at this ground. Miller got out scoring 30 off 20 balls. Shahrukh scored 37 off 24. Rahul Tewatia boosted the innings a bit with his 35 runs off 21 deliveries. With these, GT managed to reach a total of 147 losing all 10 wickets. For RCB, Siraj, Dayal & Vijaykumar took 2 wickets each. Chris Green & Karn Sharma got 1 wicket respectively.
Second Innings Summary :
RCB has a low target of 148 runs to chase down in 20 overs. Both openers were off to a flyer from the very first over. Virat Kohli & Faf du Plessis looked like playing on a different pitch. Especially Faf played a brilliant knock of 64 runs off just 23 balls. RCB scored 92 runs in the first 6 overs losing just 1 wicket. But after that, GT took 5 quick wickets, which gave a twist to the match. Virat was still present in the crease and anchored the innings with his 42 off 27 balls. Dinesh Karthik & Swapnil Singh made sure they finished the game for RCB. RCB won the match by 4 wickets & 38 balls to spare. Joshua Little picked up 4 wickets & Noor Ahmed took 2 wickets for Gujarat Titans.
Mohammed Siraj was named Player of the Match for his 2-29(4).
