First Innings Summary :

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and invited Gujarat Titans to bat first. Gujarat’s opening pair started with a flyer. CSK bowlers were totally outplayed by Subhman Gill & Sai Sudharsan pair. Both look in a beautiful shape & form. Both the batsmen had a record partnership of 210 runs, where botb of them scored a century. Subhman Gill scored 104 runs off 55 balls. Sai Sudharsan scored 103 runs off just 51 balls. David Miller came to the party in the end overs and scored 16 off 11 deliveries. Gujarat Titans posted a huge total of 231 runs losing just 3 wickets. Tushar Deshpande was the only bowler who got wickets for CSK, as he picked 2 wickets giving away 33 runs in his 4 overs. 

Second Innings Summary :

Chennai Super Kings had a humongous target of 232 runs to chase down. They needed a good start to their batting innings which they didn’t get. Chennai lost 3 top-order batsmen in the first 3 overs which made the chase very much difficult for them. Daryl Mitchell & Moeen Ali built a much-needed partnership for CSK. Both added 109 runs together, but that was not enough. CSK middle order failed to perform. Shivam Dube scored 21 off 13. Jadeja scored 18 off 10. Dhoni scored 10 off 5. CSK could reach only 196 runs losing 8 wickets. Mohit Sharma took 3 wickets, Rashid Khan took 2, and Umesh Yadav & Sandeep Warrier took 1 wicket each. Gujarat Titans won the match by 35 runs. 

Subhman Gill was named Player of the Match for his 104(55).

On match number 60 of Tata IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. IPL returns to the city of joy for the final time this season as Kolkata Knight Riders will play their last home game against Mumbai Indians. KKR won against Mumbai in their last encounter at the Wankhede. Mumbai has already been eliminated for this season and will look to end the season on a high note. On the other hand, if KKR wins here, will almost confirm their place in the Top 2.
