First Innings Summary :
Sunrisers Hyderabad batting first, started a bit slow. Lost 2 early wickets, which restricted them from scoring big in the power play. SRH scored just 37 runs in the power play, losing 2 wickets. Travis Head & Nitish Reddy played outstanding innings which helped SRH reach a competitive target. Both had a partnership of 96 runs. Head scored 58 off 44 balls. Reddy & Klaasen also had a great partnership. Both added 70 off 32 balls. Reddy scored 76 off 42. Klaasen scored 42 off 19. For Rajasthan Royals Avesh Khan got 2 wickets & Sandeep Sharma got 1.
Second Innings Summary :
Rajasthan Royals had a target of 202 in front of them. RR didn’t get a perfect start, as Bhuvaneshwar Kumar picked 2 wickets in the very first over. But after that, Jaiswal & Parag had a wonderful partnership which brought them back in the match. Both added 134 runs. Jaiswal scored 67 off 40 balls. Riyan Parag scored 77 off 49 balls. RR was well on track to win this match and qualify for the playoffs. But SRH had other plans. Cummins and Natarajan removed well-set Jaiswal and Parag. Rovman Powel scored 27 off 15, but that wasn’t enough. RR needed 13 off the last over to win. But Bhivi bowled a brilliant over to defend 13 runs, as SRH won the match by 1 run. Bhuvi picked 3 wickets. Cummins & Natarajan got 2 wickets each.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was named Player of the Match for his 3-41(4).
